The smart eyewear market continued to see rising shipments in the 2025 Q3.

In the 2025 Q3, global smart eyewear shipments reached 4.296 million units, marking a YOY increase of 74.1%. Among these, the global audio and audio-recording eyewear market shipped 2.994 million units, soaring by 287.5% YOY, while AR/VR device shipments amounted to 1.302 million units, declining by 23.2% YOY.

 

During the Q3, Meta launched the Ray-Ban Meta second generation, the Oakley sports line, and Meta Display products. With innovative hardware and a diverse product portfolio, Meta quickly gained market attention, securing a dominant market share of 75.7%. Among the top five global market players, aside from Meta, four Chinese manufacturersXiaomi, Lenovo's T&D, Xreal, and Vituremade the list. Chinese companies continue to enhance their innovation capabilities and international competitiveness in the smart eyewear sector. In terms of regional performance, North America, Western Europe, China, and Asia-Pacific (excluding China and Japan) all achieved YOY growth exceeding 50%, with Western Europe leading globally with a growth rate of 106.5%.

 

IDC predicts that China's smart eyewear market shipments will reach 4.508 million units in 2026, representing a YOY increase of 77.7%. Among these, audio and audio-recording eyewear shipments are expected to reach 3.434 million units, growing by 68.1% YOY, while AR/VR device shipments are projected to reach 1.073 million units, rising by 62.1% YOY.
